Satmaliya Deer Park

Located on the Khanvel Silvassa road, Satmaliya Deer Park is home to Chinkara, Blackbucks and spotted deer. The park is situated close to the Vasona Lion Safari and is a very popular picnic spot.

Apart from different types of deer, the park has birds like Peacock, Flameback Woodpecker, Thrushes and many more. There is a watch tower inside the park from where you can enjoy a sweeping view of the park and the Mahuban dam.

 
Vasona Lion Safari Park

Vasona Lion Safari park, a major attraction, is about 10 km from Silvassa. The 20 acre land is basically part of Dadra & Nagar Haveli Wildlife sanctuary. The park is known as the home of Asiatic lions.

You can take a ride in vans fitted with net mesh screen to explore the park and spot the lions in their natural habitat.

The park was established to conserve Asiatic lioness and lion, provide proper medication, take care of their cubs and keep a track of its breeding. It covers almost 25 hectares of land and is enclosed within a 3 meter high wall. The park is next to the Satmaliya Deer Park.

 
Dudhni Lake

Dudhni lake is an ideal place for those who love water sports. Located 40 km from Silvassa, it is a huge lake built on Madhuban Dam’s reservoir.

The sparkling water with the surrounding hillocks makes it a popular one-day picnic spot. It has boating and other watersports like kayaking, speed boats, canoeing and jet skiing.

The colourful shikaras at this lake will remind you of Kashmir. A 30-minute shikara ride will cost you about Rs 200. You can enjoy an enchanting sunset while boating. It is recommended to stay back for a night at a nearby hotel to witness the amazing sight of sunrise

 
Tribal Cultural Museum

A prime attraction of Silvassa, Tribal Cultural Museum exhibits tribal objects like masks, hunting tools, handmade musical instruments, fishing gears, kitchen articles, etc.

The main purpose of the museum is to preserve tribal culture. This places is a popular tourist destination to explore the tribal culture. You can experience the life of tribal people from the region.

The museum is an effort to depict and preserve the rich legacy of the tribal community. It has dolls and puppets showcasing the tribal way of life. Swaminarayan Temple

Swaminarayan temple at Silvassa is majestic temple built in the modern times, dedicated to Bhagwan Swaminarayan and located at the banks of the river Daman Ganga in Silvassa, Dadra and Nagar Haveli, India. The temple is a heritage to Lord Swaminarayan, who is a denomination of the Swaminarayan Hinduism, part of the Hindu religion.

The temple is inspired by Yogiji Maharaj, who is the fourth successor of Lord Swaminarayan.The Swaminarayan Temple is quite big and follows the same standards as the other Swaminarayan temples such as the one in Dadar where visitors can see the beauty of the structure and carvings work. The majority of temple is built with Marble and they have installed beautiful idols of Hindu gods.

The complex of the temple is very well maintained with very nice lawns and flower trees adding to the ambience. Spend some time, observing silence or meditate, which will definitely relax the mind and body.

 
Nakshatra Garden

Nakshatra Garden is an astro-themed garden, which has a large variety of plants and trees linked to zodiac signs.

The garden has been designed according to the Indian system of astrology that links plants with the motion of different planets. The garden has a dedicated play area for kids. The well-maintained garden also has numerous little ponds and various species of trees.

The ponds are linked by small bridges and serve as a home for various species of ducks. The garden is famous for its medicinal herbs and plants including Ayurvedic herbs. The beautiful walking tracks in the garden are lined with botanical plants with their nameplates.
